Fontanot Steel 120 railings for staircases and balconies

The Steel 120 modules, HF05120 (floor fixing) and HF06120 lateral fixing (lateral fixing), allow building railings made up of 2 rectangular cross-section balusters (40x30x3 mm), adjustable in height between 100 and 110cm, joined to each other with 5 parallel square cross-section tubes (15x15x1 mm) and surmounted by a circular cross-section handrail (diameter 40 x 1,5 mm).

The railing can easily be modified in length (by cutting it during installation, also thanks to the two devices included to correctly position and drill the tubes on the balusters) and in direction and slope (with the half ball joints included for adjustments from 90° to 270°).
A shockproof Plexiglas protection panel is also available to prevent children from climbing onto the Steel 120 railing.

• Installation environment:
  Fontanot Steel 120 is the railing and handrail solution for indoor and outdoor staircases. If the install are outdoor please follow all maintenance advice meticulously.

• Railing resistance:
  The structural strength can be doubled by halving the distance between the balusters. The structural strength tests to verify compliance with the provisions laid down in Ministerial Decree dated 14/01/2008 and the requirements according to the UNI EN 1991-1-1 (EUROCODE 1) standards have been conducted in Italy at the Giordano Institute laboratories, SIT / SINCERT accredited and authorised by the Ministry for Infrastructures to conduct tests and issue test certificates for the construction materials. • Cleaning:
  Clean with a soft, damp cloth, avoiding the use of any solvent or abrasive material, and dry carefully to remove any limestone deposits left by the water. We advise cleaning with normal automotive cleaning products available on the market at least once a year for the Steel10 and Steel30 railings. For installations in areas with high levels of environmental or urban pollution or close to the sea, clean thoroughly and accurately with suitable products (see above) every 4-6 months, or as soon as stains can be seen on the surface of the items.
  

All spiral staircases whether new or replacement need to comply with the UK building regulations - there are also special requirements for Spiral Stairs and Space Saver stairs which are detailed in BS5395-2, the British Standard which applies to staircases of this type, BS5395-2 is referred to in building regulations as the general standard for spiral staircases and helical stairs.
